Our primary scan is the raw image scan saved in 24 bit RGB. Additional services include dust and scratch removal as well as full 48 bit scans. Scan prices are determined by target file size. All film, color or black and white, is scanned as RGB and delivered as an RGB file. This ensures the best tonal and color fidelity of your original.
| Scan File Size | Cost | Approx. Print Size @ 300 PPI |
| 1 - 100 mb | $50 | 16 x 24 |
| 101 - 200 mb | $70 | 24 x 30 |
| 201 - 350 mb | $85 | 30 x 40 |

| > 550 mb | $125 | Archive |
Our normal turn around time is 72 hours. Orders can be picked up at our office or we will be happy to ship the final scan to you with your film. As soon as your job is completed we will send you an email notification and you can download your scans from our ftp server. There is no charge for this service.
We offer two output file sizes, 26MB and 60MB. The 26MB scan is sufficient to make a full frame 8"x12" print at 300PPI, while the 60MB scan can produce a 12"x18" full frame print.
Mounted slides have a reduced image area of typically 1.35" x 0.95". If the full frame (1.5" x 1.0") of a particular image is important then drum scanning of slide is necessary. We crop scans to just inside the mount opening. This ensures that you get film image data, not scans of the plastic or cardboard mounts. (Please note that some shops advertise larger scan sizes, but include some of the mount.). If you want mount included please note this with your order.
For film strips we can scan individual frames or entire strips. For rolls or strips longer than 6 frames we will need to cut the strip to 6 or less frames. There is an additional $5.00 charge for single frame negatives or un-mounted slides.
For slides or film that have small scratches and dust, we suggest including the D&S option. This is an automated dust and scratch process that eliminates most dust and small scratches from the scanned image. If the slides are old and/or have faded or shifting colors, then we recommend the "Restoration of Color" option.
This function can restore the color of the scanned image to an almost new look.
