Advanced Scanning – Drum Scanning

 

This class is for the professional or advanced photographer who wants total control over the scanning process with the best output possible.  In this class you’ll learn to use the Aztek Premier 8000 Drum Scanner and its associated control software, DPL. 

This is a prerequisite class for anyone who wants to rent time on the Warp 9 Imaging’s Aztek Drum scanner. 

You’ll learn:

• The mechanics of how a drum scanner works.
• Why drum scanning is superior to all other scanning techniques
• How to wet mount film
• How to use the DPL software
• Understanding how to scan for targeted output
• Getting the most out of your film

 

This class is appropriate for all levels. 
4-5 hour session.  Limited to 4 participants. 

The cost for this class is $175. Participants will each receive one hour of scanner rental time credit to be used when they want (subject to scheduling).
