Picture Framing for Photographers

 

One thing that a lot of photographers have trouble with is how to properly prepare their prints for display, be it for home or for competition. 

In this workshop we’ll learn what it takes to make a beautiful presentation of your photo.  We’ll cover:

• Mounting techniques and options
• Hinging
• Dry mounting

• Choosing the right mat board, type and color
• How to cut a simple single mat
• Glazing
• Types of glass and acrylic
• Conservation versus standard
• Framing
• Choosing the right type and color
• Putting it all together
• General care for your finished print.

 

Each participant will leave with their own print in a 16x20 frame. 

This class is appropriate for all levels. 

4-5 hour session.  Limited to 8 participants.  The cost for this class is $175.  This includes all the materials to frame your print in a 16x20 frame.
