Horsetail Fall
February 16-19, 2012

In late-February, waterfalls are flowing, there are juxtapositions of light and shadow, and a natural sense of form and texture. Only during the last two weeks of February are the light conditions right to photograph the impressive Horsetail Fall with the setting sun making it look like a fire fall. This is a favorite time for photographers from all over the world to come to Yosemite and try to capture this moment.

February conditions are always a surprise. There could be snow, great clouds or sunshine. Hopefully a combination of all.
